2026 Red Angus Herd Sires and AI Sires

Angus Breed. He is the most expensive

bull in the Red Angus Breed selling for $400,000 in 2023. When we got the

opportunity to flush him with Berwald Bonne Bel 3115 (aka Swank), we were

honored to get to breed to him with our newly purchased heifer. So far, he has not

disappointed us. Unfortunately, we only got 1 calf out of that cross, which is the

PIE Centerfire is a great addition to our herd. He is a dark red bull that not only can be used as a calving ease sire but also has the performance to add muscle and carcass to his progeny. This is the first year for his progeny and they stand out in the bull pen and in the heifer pen. His calves are clean made, stylish and carry themselves like they own the world. Watch for more calves by this junior herd sire.

Guidance is a quiet, good-disposition bull that we purchased from Berwald Red

Angus at their 2023 production sale. His calves have always been quiet with lots of

growth. This bull has a great cow family with Berwald Jaylo as his mother. So far,

this bull has had many exciting calves. We are hoping that we see more from this

Berwald bull.

Believe is a new addition to our herd and is a half paternal brother to Centerfire. He is a deep bodied bull that is extremely sound and functional. These two half brothers have sired some excellent calves that will turn some heads and add that extra pounds at weaning. We can’t say enough great things about these bulls and their progeny.

NSFR Freedom L4 was a purchase from Nordlund Stock Farm in 2024. This is L4’s

first crop of calves in our sale. So far, he has not disappointed us. Even though he

hasn’t had very many calves yet, all of them have impressed us. His calves have been

very consistent, showing us many different traits in growth. We are very excited for

these progenies and his future progeny to come.

TCC Highway has been a very consistent bull in our herd. He is a dark red bull that is

super stylish and clean-fronted, along with excellent disposition. Unfortunately, this

will be the last set of Highway 101 calves.

Prairie Factor has added a lot of calving ease in our herd. This has always been

something that he has been appreciated at the ranch. Prairie Factor calves have had

very good combinations of calving ease and growth. This bull goes back to High

Plains, which we love for our brood cow line.

This bull has exceptional calving ease. He is also incredibly versatile along with a lot

of style. His dam, 2101, has been flushed this past fall. With all her calves that have

went through the system, there has been at least 60 calves. He is also a half sibling

to one of the bulls in this sale. This has been a very exciting bull that has been a big

improvement for our herd.

We bought Spud’s mother (aka Wedge) at the ND State Sale in 2022 as a bred heifer.

This was the calf that she was expecting at the time. Wedge is just a pure sweetheart

and makes everyone’s hearts melt. Just like his dam, Spud was a very quiet, well

behaved calf. He is very consistent in weaning, yearling, and average daily gain

traits. Not to mention that his carcass data is off the charts. When sale time rolled

around, Spud was a fan favorite, even though he wasn’t for sale. His progeny are

limited because he has died in 2024 due to injury. Therefore, this is his only set of

calves.

Quarterback L74 is another purchase from Nordlund Stock Farm in their 2024 Sale.

He has high calving ease and travels very nicely. He is also very smooth made, clean

fronted, and is a pure female maker. L74 has been a very nice edition to our herd,

and we are very excited to see what he comes to. This is his first calf crop, so keep a

look-out for his calves in next year’s sale.

This bull is an ultimate powerhouse. He is very straight topped and packed with

muscle. Not only does this bull have this trait, but his calves also have inherited

these traits. A lot of his calves are thick made, deep bodied, and sound moving.

Red Allison Moonlight is a bull we purchased from Canada, and he has not disappointed us. We no longer than got off the phone after his purchase when we had interest in purchasing a share on him. His first year of breeding was quite impressive, registering 32 natural sired calves with six other bulls in the same pasture servicing around 130 cows. His second season he settled 44 in the same situation. He sires some thick, heavy muscled calves that are very impressive to look at. We are really excited for his future here at the BHR.

George is a very even calf, with low calving ease numbers and high weaning and

yearling weight numbers. He also had the looks to back up his numbers with having

a very even topline and having a lot of muscle. At the time, everybody at the ranch

thought that George was going to be our next great herd sire. However, our plans

didn’t work out when George had a battle with foot rot and was limited in his first

breeding season. Not to mention that his progeny are limited.

This bull is a calf of LSF Inspire, a bull we bought from Ludvigsons. Currently, he is

siring moderate birth, higher growth bulls that are excelling in every field from the

cow to the lot. He is also very sound footed and travels easily along the ground as

well as stays in shape. Keeping this bull sure wasn’t a regret.

Having some natural maternal traits that has created some excellent females in our

herd. His calves consistently have the traits of moderate birth, higher growth, and

amazing carcass traits. Complete daughters are wanted across the nation and have
